Michał Widawski graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk in 2009. As part of his studies, he was a Socrates / Erasmus scholarship holder at the Faculty of Law of the Universidad de Valencia. He graduated from the Spanish Law School of that university, as well as the Chicago School of American Law - Kent College of Law.

He completed his legal adviser apprenticeship in 2010-2012, and then passed the legal adviser exam in 2013 and was entered on the list of legal advisers of the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Gdańsk.

He participated in numerous trainings in the field of economics and law, including in a training co-financed by the European Commission (under the Justice 2014-2020 program) and the National Chamber of Legal Advisers entitled Litigating European Union Law at the Academy of European Law (ERA) in Trier.
Areas of specialization
Michał Widawski specializes in civil law, contract law, commercial law and commercial law. He advises clients in all areas of their business activities, including representing them before courts and administrative authorities, negotiating the terms of commercial contracts, investment contracts, or advising them on establishing, transforming and merging commercial law companies.
On a daily basis, on a permanent basis, he advises over a dozen clients of the law firm from Poland and abroad. He provides legal services to entities from the Kingspan capital group, advising companies operating in six countries in the CEE region. He is comprehensively responsible for the Polish legal department of Balex Metal, and also cooperates with foreign lawyers of companies from the group, tax advisors, specialist law firms and debt collection companies.
Michał Widawski successfully represents clients in many complex court, tax, court-administrative and criminal economic cases. He conducts about one hundred court cases at various stages on an ongoing basis.
Experience

Michał Widawski has been cooperating with INTESA since 2009, and since 2017 he has become a Partner there. Since 2019, he has been involved in the project of a law firm offering services, inter alia, in the field of counteracting money laundering and terrorist financing (KYC / AML). Responsible for the implementation of several development projects in the law firm, including cooperation with SPCC, the law department of WSAiB, the Kashubian-Pomeranian Association, or organizations associating artists.

In 2016, he became a member of the standing committee for foreign cooperation of the OIRP Council in Gdańsk, which he represents at international meetings and conferences. As a member of the committee, he had the pleasure to co-organize the so-called Eastern conference "Twinning Meeting", as well as represent the Chamber at many international meetings.

He participated in many M&A transactions and projects, including he has provided legal services in many transactions of purchase or sale of shares in companies, sale of enterprises and real estate; carried out due diligence studies (both SPA and real estate transactions as well as research for the needs of transformation as well as division and merger of capital companies); he was responsible for the transfer of permits, licenses and concessions (including in special trade); he was responsible for ensuring succession in family businesses; advised on business restructuring projects.

He has many years of experience in providing services to entities from various industries, including the production of building materials, the industry of trade and rental of construction machinery, the financial services industry (payment services, permits, AML / KYC documentation), the TSL industry, the shipbuilding industry, agricultural production, or companies from the IT sector.

Michał Widawski is fluent in English, Spanish, and, at a basic level, also in German.
