A fifth-year student of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdansk, with master’s degree in law – course specializing in civil law. While following the course of studies, Jan also remains a member of several student research groups and passively participates in various types of scientific conferences, thus expanding his knowledge in the area understood as Polish Economic Law.
Since the beginning of second year of his studies, Jan started to gain experience by working in several law offices from the area of Tricity. At the Law Office INTESA Małkowski Wojdak & Partners Legal Counsels, he currently deals with the preparation of draft pleadings, judicial decisions overview, as well as drafting contracts in both Polish and English language versions.
Jan’s area of interest focus on the Chinese law, as well as global economy, in particular the economies of People’s Republic of China and the Middle Eastern States. At the turn of 2017 and 2018 he completed a post-graduate studies in Chinese law conducted by the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk in cooperation with the University of Beijing – China Youth University of Political Studies and the Confucius Institute in Gdansk. Said studies allowed him to deepen the understanding of processes taking place under Chinese civil law, as well as allowed him to understand the principles and specificity of entering into contracts with Chinese partners.
Jan’s fluency in English has been confirmed by a certificate issued by the International Baccalaureate Organization as well as by achieving a positive result in the C2 Legal English exam, which was conducted by the University of Gdańsk’s Foreign Languages Center.
